Now it seems that is indeed the case, as the renders of the upcoming Pixel 7A have been leaked by Onleaks in collaboration with Smartprix. Every year Google releases the Pixel A series of smartphones, which is essentially a toned-down version of its Flagship Pixel series, offering a flagship experience on a budget. Anyway, Google Pixel 6A launched in July this year, and the successor of 6a, which is Pixel 7A, is expected to launch early next year. Now let us take a look at the renders of the upcoming budget offering from Google in 2023, i.e., Pixel 7A.
Google Pixel 7A Design
Well, looking at the leaked render of the Google Pixel 7A reveal that the upcoming budget smartphone carries forward the same design language of the flagship Pixel 7, which isn’t surprising at all since Pixel 7A is essentially a toned-down version of the Flagship Pixel 7 series as we mentioned above. Although unlike the Pixel 7, the Pixel 7A on the front has a thick bezel all around and a more thick chin at the bottom. The budget 7A has a flat display with a centered punch-hole front camera. The power button & volume rockers are on the right; stereo speakers are at the top & bottom! Type-C port at the bottom. Just like its predecessor, the Pixel 7A does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. As for the back, the Pixel 7A resembles the design language of the Google Pixel 7 series with the camera Visor, which houses dual rear cameras and LED Flash. Just like the Pixel 7 series, the camera visor fully extends to the side of the frame. The Google logo is in the middle.
Google Pixel 7A Expected Specifications
Well, there’s not much information about the specifications of the Google Pixel 7A as it is still early. Although the Pixel 7A will feature a FullHD+panel with 90Hz refresh rate and is expected to be powered by a Google Tensor chipset. For the optics, the budget smartphone is expected to feature Sony IMX787 & Sony IMX712 for the rear cameras. The Google Pixel 7A will support wireless charging, although it will be capped at 5W, so there’s nothing to be excited about. The budget Google smartphone will also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Google Pixel 7A measures 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0mm ( 10.1mm with the camera bump) in comparison to Pixel 6A, which was slightly smaller at 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.9mm, although these differences are pretty small enough to be noticed.
