- Create a new Chrome window.
- In the top left corner of the window, click on the three lines that look like a triangle. This will open a menu that looks like this:
- On the left side of this menu, click on the three lines that look like an X. This will close the previous window and create a new one with the name “Chrome.”
- In this new window, click on the three lines that look like an X again to open a menu that looks like this:
- On the left side of this menu, click on “Tabs.” This will open a list of all your tabs and groups.
- Click on “New Tab Group.” This will create a new tab group for you and add all your tabs to it.
- Click on " collapsed" to collapse all your tabs into one big group (if you want). If you want, you can also collapse each tab individually by clicking on it and then clicking on " collapsed ."
Create a New Tab Group in Chrome
Right-click the tab you want to place in a group and choose Add Tab to New Group.

Right-click the tab you want to include, select Add Tab to Group, and choose the group name in the pop-out menu. If you didn’t give your group a name, you’ll see a website you added to it as the name.

Remove a Tab From a Group
If you no longer want a tab as part of a group, you can quickly remove it. To remove it from the group and keep it open, right-click the tab and pick Remove From Group.
To close a tab in a group, just close the tab as you normally would using the X on the right side of the tab.
Reopen a Tab Group
To reopen a tab group, open Chrome and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the window. Then, select “Open in new tab.”
If you have recently closed a tab, Chrome will show the list of tabs that are still open. To close a tab, select it from the list and press the Delete key.
If you’ve just closed a group, you’ll see all the groups that are in it and the tabs for each one. You can reopen any of them by clicking on the “reopen group” button.
Remember that if you close a tab and reopen it, the tab list will be updated with the new tabs.
