When you share a Google calendar, you can quickly give controlled access to your events to a coworker, family member or friend. In this article, I’ll show you the different methods to share a calendar and give some tips along the way. One way to share a Google calendar is by using the Google Calendar app on your phone. This app lets you create calendars for up to 10 people and add events to them easily. You can also share calendars with other apps by using the sharing options in those apps’ settings. Another way to share a Google calendar is by emailing it to your friends and family. Emailing calendars is easy because it’s like sending an email but instead of having one big document, you send individual emails that contain all of the events in your calendar at once. This method is great for sharing calendars with people who are far away or who don’t have internet access. Finally, you can also share a Google calendar by posting it on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Social media sites are great because they allow you to easily post updates about your events without having to worry about formatting or copy-pasting everything from scratch. You can also use social media sites as an opportunity to promote your event and get more attention from potential attendees.

Public vs Private Calendar

A public calendar is visible to everyone and that means everyone can see your events. ..

This means that if you create an event with a private calendar and then try to publish the event and send someone the link, they will not be able to view the event. This is because the calendar is private. When you make it public, you can either share it with individual people or with the whole world.

When you create a calendar for yourself, you can choose to have public or private events. Public events are available to everyone, while private events are only accessible to individuals. You can also choose to have different levels of privacy for each event. For example, you might want to have less public events available on your calendar if you want people to know more about your personal life, while also wanting them access to your more private events if you want them only as a courtesy.

 Share a Calendar

Click on the “New Calendar” button.

To add a new calendar, click on the plus sign next to the Add a friend’s calendar box. You’ll see three small vertical dots appear, which will give you the options for that particular calendar. You’ll want to click on Settings and sharing. ..

The sharing options are in the middle of the page. There are Access permissions, which allow you to make the entire calendar public. Most public calendars are from organizations like schools, universities, etc. However, there are also Public calendars that are created by individual users. These calendars can be found on websites like Google Calendar and Facebook Calendar.

When you check the Make available to public box, you’ll get a warning indicating that the entire world will be able to view your calendar. You’ll also get to choose between See only free/busy (hide details) and See all event details.

If you want to share your calendar with a few people, you can add them in the Share with specific people section. Click on ADD PEOPLE and type in the email address for the person you want to share the calendar with.

You can choose permissions that the user should have: See only free/busy (hide details), See all event details, make changes to events, and make changes and manage sharing. ..

If you want to share your calendar with someone who is not using Google Calendar, then the only option you have is to make the calendar public. ..

The invitation will be sent and the user simply has to click on the link and their calendar will now show up in their list of calendars. Once you make a calendar public, you can start adding events to the calendar. You’ll also notice that each event has its own visibility option: Public or Private.

Public calendars are shared with everyone, so everyone can see the event details. Private calendars are only shared with specific people, so only those people can see the event details. Google has a full page that walks you through all the different combinations of options here, which can be a bit confusing. For example, if your calendar is public, but you choose private for an individual event, then it’ll only show that time block as busy, but no one will be able to view the name of the event or any details. ..

This event will only be visible to you and will not show as busy.

To invite people to an event, first create the event in Google Calendar. Then, click on the three vertical dots next to the event. From here, you can choose who you want to invite. ..

One option for publishing an event is to copy some HTML code and paste it onto a website or simply copy a URL.

You can also click on the Pencil icon at the left to edit the event and add guests on the right-hand side.

You can choose whether guests can modify the event, invite others to the event or see the guest list.

Google Calendar is a great way to keep track of your events and share them with others. It can be a little confusing, but once you play around with the settings, it’s not hard to figure out.
